In his second fight following a 53-month hiatus, perennial Light Heavyweight contender David Telesco (30-6-1 25Kos) will square off against former two-time Super Middleweight beltholder Byron Mitchell (27-5-1 20Kos) October 21st at the Hilton Rye Town Hotel in suburban Rye Brook, NY.
Mitchell, 35, is coming off a knockout loss to Beibut Shumenov, while Telesco looks to recapture some of his past glory at 41-years-old. Conventional wisdom says both men have seen better days, but sometimes match-ups of past-their-prime pugilists make for unexpectedly exciting bouts.
